Immaculate Heart Grade school is a non-gorvermental, non-partisan organisation based in masaka district that was founded in 2019.In 2022 the school was registered with Uganda Registration Services Bureau as a community school with a registration number 80030841099873.

The school is currently running from nursery to primary seven in Bunaddu village Bukakata Sub-county Masaka

 

Immaculate Heart Grade school is catering for over 90 orphans and less previledged children through education in the four villages Bunaddu, Kaziru,Bukakata and Lambu all located in Masaka District.

 

The four villages have the highest number of HIV/AIDS ravaged area related diseases such as malaria, dysentery, whooping cough, typhoid etc. The children have access to shelter, quality education, medical care, electricity and clothing. Establishing a primary school in the community will help us rescue orphans and vulnerable children to have a bright future.

 

Immaculate Heart is located in Bunaddu village of the four villages found in Bukakata Sub-county of Masaka District. Like all rural communities, the target community depends on fishing and agriculture for their livelyhood but the net income from fishing and agriculture is very low. As a result, many people the area live below the poverty line. As such, the people of Bunaddu and the neighbouring villages of Bunaddu, Bukakata, Kaziru and Lambu are vulnerable in many aspects. Masaka District, where the target community is found, has 182 meaning that it ought to have the same numberly of primary schools as per the government policy. However it has only 50 primary schools meaning that each school serves four to five villages. This is true of the proposed project area there was one primary school in the community, Sunlight k primary school and this caters for four villages it is a universal primary education school. The few children who can manage to get to school have to walk many miles through thick bushes which put them at risk of being kidnapped for ritual sacrifice by witch doctors, and for girls, of being raped.        

Project Objectives. We are destinated to achieve the  in the short and medium term.

1. Building a school for the children and setting up income generating project for women.

       2. To develop a well maintained and self motivated staff for both secular and religious displines.

 3.To sensitize children about the importance of education.

 4.To stop children turning to streets as a result of ignorance and economical hardships.

     5.To build a decent next generation of citizens.

      6.To reduce child trafficking, sacrifice and child labour.
